13 July 2026

AUTOMATA project coordinator, Gabriele Gattiglia (University of Pisa) will give a seminar titled “Can AUTOMATA help the archaeological study of medieval and post-medieval ceramics?” at the University of Tübingen, on the 15th July 2026

This public lecture will present how AUTOMATA combines robotics, AI and non-invasive analysis to support the documentation of archaeological ceramics and lithics. It will also explore how bringing together 3D models and archaeometric data can improve research, conservation and long-term access to archaeological collections.
