AUTOMATA at international conference “Embedded in Clay” (Pisa, 4-6 February 2025)

Gabriele Gattiglia and Claudia Sciuto from the MAPPALab team at the University of Pisa have taken part in the international conference “Embedded in Clay,” promoted by the project “P.I.P.E. – Profiling the Identity of the Producers of Ancient Egypt and Nubia through the Aura of Clay Figurines” (PRIN 2022 PNRR project). The event has been held from 4 to 6 February 2025 at the Polo San Rossore, University of Pisa.

Gattiglia and Sciuto have participated in Session 1: Identity and Performance in Clay Artefacts through the Lens of Archaeometry on Wednesday, 5 February, presenting a contribution titled: “Materiality in Motion: AUTOMATA’s Algorithmic Turn in Archaeometric Research.”
