Stéphan Dubernet

Graduated in physics and chemistry of modern inorganic materials (mechanical, optical, electronic properties, etc.), Stéphan Dubernet joined archaeometric research in 1990. Since, senior research engineer at the University Bordeaux Montaigne, he is an expert in numerous methods for characterizing geological and archaeological materials, using laboratory equipment or their in-situ equivalents, providing access to elementary compositions (PIGE-PIXE under proton beam, XRF under X-ray or electron emission), mineralogical determinations (XRD, Raman, polarized light microscopy), structures and textures (SEM), or coloring properties (absorption spectroscopies).
