Gabriele Gattiglia
Gabriele Gattiglia is an Associate Professor of Archaeological Research Methodology at the University of Pisa. He specialises in digital archaeology, with a focus on AI applications in Archaeology and contemporary archaeology. Gattiglia has led key projects like ArchAIDE and contributed significantly to open archaeological data systems in Italy. He coordinates the Horizon Europe Project “AUTOMATA” and is Chair of the MAIA (Managing AI in Archaeology) COST Action. His work bridges digital technologies and traditional archaeological practices.
