Aurélie Mounier is a CNRS Research Engineer at Archeosciences Bordeaux in the Bordeaux Montaigne University with the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches. Her specialty is the study of colour materials and techniques (pigments, dyes, binders) and the development of portable spectroscopic methods. Her double & multidisciplinary academic background is in art history and applied physics. She joined the CNRS in December 2018. She currently invests in the development of portable non-destructive analytical techniques to study fragile artworks (paintings, manuscripts, polychromies, textiles, engravings…). To complete the range of devices used and obtain information on organic materials (dyes and binders), she notably co-developed and patented (2014) a portable LED fluorimeter.
