2nd AUTOMATA Plenary Meeting (Bordeaux, 3 & 4 February 2026)

15 January 2026

On 3 and 4 February 2026, Université Bordeaux Montaigne and Inria will welcome around thirty members of the consortium of the European project AUTOMATA for a two-day working meeting in Bordeaux.

The programme will offer partners the opportunity to visit the Archéopôle d’Aquitaine and discover its advanced laboratory facilities and analytical technologies dedicated to archaeological research, material characterisation, dating, imaging and the study of cultural heritage objects and remains. The consortium will also visit Inria’s research facilities and the INRAP site in Bègles, including its storage areas and laboratories. These visits will be combined with roundtable discussions aimed at placing the AUTOMATA project within the broader context of technologies supporting archaeological research. The event will conclude with a plenary technical meeting, during which partners will review progress across the project’s different Work Packages and ongoing activities.
